89th Reading trip to the Brecon Beacons

Scouts and leaders from 89th Reading went to Plas Dolygaer in the Brecon Beacons.

On Saturday, the Scouts split into two groups to head off in opposite directions around the Brecon horseshoe in stunning clear weather. Visiting the summits of Corn Du, Pen y fan, Cribyn and Fan y big.

This was a big challenge that all scouts took in their stride, they even had enough energy to run the last few hundred metres, when they realised that the two groups completed the loop within minutes of each other!

The weather on Sunday morning was not quite so kind, so the wet weather plan was used in place of the planned rock climbing and the group did the four waterfall walk near Ystradfellte.
