Please take time to have a look at the
Activities Newsletters on Scoutbase . They are full of
useful information whether your planned
activity involves scaling Ben Nevis, Flying or Circus Skills. There's a
fresh one every six months or so.
Also, POR has been updated to require leaders to:
(a) obtain a relevant weather forecast before an
outdoor activity (see
FS120088), and
(b) carry out Risk Assessments before and during
activities (see
FS120000)FS = Fact Sheet - they can be
downloaded from
Scoutbase
The Nights Away Permit scheme has now been
implemented nationally, so camps cannot be run without a Nights Away
Permit, or Passport holder.
